B.G. Gets 14 Years In Federal Prison For Gun Charge

B.G. new he was going to face some time but he did not expect to get hit as hard as he did yesterday as he is now headed to federal prison for a very long time.

B.G.’s who is a Former Hot Boy has finally closed his last case and the conclusion was not as he wanted it to go.

Nola.com reports that the former Hot Boy was sentenced yesterday (Wednesday July 18) to 14 years in federal prison for gun possession and witness tampering. At this point the rappers music career is now in question. The report claims that B.G. arrived in a jumpsuit, and sat in a wheelchair.

Those who are not familiar with the case should know that B.G. was arrested after a 2009 traffic stop. He had previously pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm hoping he would get some leniency when it came time for sentencing but that was not the case. He then obstructed justice by convincing one of his associates to claim ownership of the gun.

Prosecutors are said to have sought a 25-year prison sentence, citing B.G.’s past criminal activity. Prosecutors also claimed that he was “profiting off of New Orleans’ “cycle of violence,” pointing to his music videos as an example, but U.S. District Judge Ginger Berrigan declined to use them as a basis for a lengthier sentence.
