Jay-Z partners up with Duracell and with his new partnership he brings new technology to his club.
Now being a spokesperson for Duracell’s Powermat technology, Jay-Z plans to make history. The Marcy emcee and the Duracell company are now announcing their “Wireless Power Nation” campaign, which is announced to make a big hit in the future.
A powermat is an apparatus that allows users to charge cell phones and iPads wirelessly by placing it on a mat. Jay-Z has promised to add this device to his 40/40 Club as part of his new partnership and to allow fans to get a hold of this new device. The mats will look like coasters but they’ll also charge users’ cell phones and iPads.
Jay-Z said, “People will be able to charge wirelessly on embedded ‘wireless power hot spots’ in public venues where they travel and interact throughout their day. All they will need to do is put their phone on the table, same thing they normally do. The only difference is that now, their smartphones will get charged from the table.”
Aside from Jay-Z, Powermat has partnered with Chevrolet in this endeavor and Chevrolet cars will also have this technology in their new Volt vehicles. This system reportedly costs $100, so people can afford to buy this new device.
