Actress Lynn Redgrave has died reportedly due to complications from breast cancer. Redgrave was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2002 and reportedly had a mastectomy in January 2003 before going into chemotherapy.

Lynn Redgrave, 67, who was the star in the 1960’s movie “Georgy Girl,” died peacefully at her home in Kent, Conn. Her children Ben, Pema and Annabel, as well as close friends, were by her side when she died.

Her publicist, Rick Miramontez, released a statement on behalf of her three children.

“Our beloved mother Lynn Rachel passed away peacefully after a seven year journey with breast cancer,” Redgrave’s children said in a statement Monday. “She lived, loved and worked harder than ever before. The endless memories she created as a mother, grandmother, writer, actor and friend will sustain us for the rest of our lives. Our entire family asks for privacy through this difficult time.”

Recently Redgrave made an appearance on ‘Law & Order’ and ‘Desperate Housewives.’

May Lynn Redgrave rest peacefully!
