DJ AM Found Dead After Missing Following Last Twitter Post Days Ago — Popular disc jockey DJ AM born Adam Goldstein, 36, was found dead in his New York apartment on Friday, after he was reported as missing by a close friend.

DJ AM who is a close friend of drummer Travis Barker of Blink-182 with whom he has collaborated with, is most known for deejaying at Hollywood parties and playing concerts with Jay-Z as well as scratching albums for Tiesto, Madonna, Will Smith, amongst others.

DJ AM was reported missing after his friend went to check on him, but received no response at his apartment which prompted the person to contact authorities. The last public message from DJ AM is from his Twitter account which was on August 25, 2009. “New york, new york. Big city of dreams, but everything in new york aint always what it seems,” DJ AM Twittered before his shocking death was discovered.t

Reportedly drug paraphernalia was found on the scene during the investigation.

In 2008, DJ AM barely escaped death after a plane crash in which he was occupying with drummer Travis Barker in South Carolina, as reported on www.HipHopRX.com. Four of the six people unfortunately died during the crash, leaving DJ AM (Goldstein) and Travis Barker the only survivors.

As Goldstein survived the crash, one can’t help but to compare his death to the plot of the supernatural movie thriller “Final Destination” where survivors of a plane crash were later hunted by death which was thought to have had a pattern or a plan which could not be escaped.
