Sean Garrett Is $700,000 In Debt

Sean Garrett has joined the ranks of artists who owe money to Uncle Sam, and from the looks of it he will be working for some time just to pay off his debt.

Sean Garrett is widely known in the hip hop community and has written hits for the likes of Ciara, Nicki Minaj, and countless others, but for some very odd reason he has forgotten to pay his taxes and now the IRS finally caught up to him.

TMZ reports that Garrett owes the back taxes for the years 2006 and 2007, totaling $732,553.57. He may be a great producer but by no means is that small changed for him.

The report also claims that BMI, collects Garrett’s royalties, to garnish the singer/songwriter’s wages.

Garrett signed with Roc Nation/Columbia in 2010, after it was widely reported that he was signing to Lil Wayne’s Young Money Records. Garrett had worked on Nicki Minaj’s “Massive Attack,” which was featured on the rapper’s debut album, Pink Friday.

He has had a very successful career but for some reason the cash has never found its way back to his taxes owed. Garrett has produced an astonishing 15 number one singles in his career, which is very impressive.
