Yo Gotti Altercation With Rival Rapper Leaves 6 Shot?! Warrants Issued (Photos)
Memphis rappers “Yo Gotti,” real name Mario Mims, and O.G. Boo Dirty, real name Lance Taylor, along with 11 total people are wanted by Tennessee authorities in connection with a Memphis nightclub shooting, where there were 6 gunshot victims, including rapper O.G. Boo Dirty himself.
MemphisRap.com reports that during what reps at Level II Nightclub in Memphis, TN call an after-hours incident, Yo Gotti and O.G. Boo Dirty were involved in some type of verbal altercation which led to gunshots.
Apparently during the two rivals’ altercation, a third unidentified man instigated the altercation which led to OG Boo Dirty striking him, which launched an assault of gunshots, leading to 6 victims being wounded.
Two of the alleged victims were actually shot in the buttocks during an attempt to escape the gunfire.
Art Horne, Yo Gotti’s attorney, released a statement from Yo Gotti to local Memphis news station WREG claiming that the rapper doesn’t condone violence and would clear his name as soon as arriving back into Memphis.
Boo Dirty’s lawyer, Harold Durham, states that he spoke to his client after the fight at Level II, but wasn’t aware of the arrest warrant until now.
Police have detained three men so far in connection with the multiple shooting case – Vernon McClendon, Kenneth Mason and Howard Greer, who was one of the actual gunshot victims.
This incident comes at a time when the new J Records signed artist, Yo Gotti, just recently released his new track “We Can Get It On” featuring Ciara. The rapper’s debut album Live from the Kitchen on J Records is slated for a January 25, 2011 release date and is expected to feature Ciara, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Lupe Fiasco, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy and others.
