An Arizona judge has denied celebrity Rehab’s Dr. Drew’s request to let him take rapper DMX under his wing in the hopes of getting him sober.
As reported on www.HipHopRX.com, Celebrity Rehab‘s Dr. Drew asked a judge to let him treat DMX for his drug addiction at his rehab facility in California, but after thinking it over the judge said NO!
DMX, who is currently serving a six-month jail sentence for violating the conditions of his probation, was denied the petition because he’s reportedly already doing really well in the Arizona court-appointed substance abuse program, which ends early in July, according to a rep from the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona.
The judge says after his appointed program, DMX can then enroll himself in Dr. Drew’s ‘Celebrity Rehab’ but taping of the show will have already begun.
