Congratulations to Antonio Monterio Hardy, a.k.a. Big Daddy Kane of the iconic hip hop collective ‘Juice Crew,’ on getting married to his longtime girlfriend Shawnette on Saturday May 1st.
Big Daddy Kane and longtime girlfriend Shawnette tied the knot on Saturday in North Carolina during a private ceremony.
Derrick “D-Nice” Jones of Boogie Down Productions, who was in attendance, took to his Twitter account to describe the wedding calling it a beautiful ceremony.
“It was an honor to attend his wedding,” the rapper stated. “We have so much history. During the time when my crew (BDP) & his crew (The Juice Crew) were beefing, Kane & I were friends. I was even his hypeman at an Apollo show.”
Big Daddy Kane is known for being part of the 1980′s super group the ‘Juice Crew’ that was founded by Marley Marl.
