DMX born Earl Simmons was rushed to the emergency room in Florida on Sunday due to falling ill. According to sources the rapper was admitted due to fear of a stroke.
The rapper’s assigned public defender, Attorney Charles Kozelka, told MTV News on Tuesday, “I don’t know the cause, but I know that he’s still hospitalized and that they’ve admitted him and won’t be releasing him for a couple more days.”
The rapper who is stated to be free on a $25K bond was due in court on Tuesday, September 23 after missing a court date in August. The initial appearance has been pushed back to Monday, September 29th in hopes that he will be able to attend court then.
The rapper was due in court for an initial appearance in his case tied to a bench warrant that was issued in Arizona after he missed a court date there in August.
