This isn’t the first time rapper Da Brat born Shawntae Harris has assaulted someone, in 2000 the rapper pistol whipped a woman. Well on today (November 1), Da Brat was arrested for allegedly striking a waitress in the head with a rum bottle during an altercation at Jermaine Dupri’s Studio 72 nightclub. The rapper reportedly got into it after a waitress bumped into her, which went into a shoving match.
According to authorities the victim was hit with the bottle which caused a wound on the 23 year-old’s cheek and swelling to her forehead. Reportedly the victim was taken to a local hospital by friends.
The rapper has been charged with felony aggravated assault and is expected to be arraigned in the next 72 hours.
