2 Chainz recently teamed up with Hip Hop Caucus for the 2012  “Respect My Vote!” campaign.

The Hip Hop Caucus’ non-partisan effort is aimed at getting young voters between the ages of 18 and 40 to go out and vote. Registering new voter, and teaching felons about their voting rights.

The hip hop world has lost Beastie Boys rapper Adam Yauch at the young age of 47.

Adam Yauch, whose stage name is MCA, passed away on May 4.

It was no secret that Adam had undertook a fight against cancer, he was originally diagnosed with cancer in 2009 and had undergone surgery and radiation therapy to treat a cancerous parotid gland and lymph node.

Apparently reports are in that Adam’s passing was a result of his health issues.

Adam was on third of the famous rap group the Beastie Boys, who helped make leaps and bounds in their era of hip hop. The Beastie Boys came to be in 1979 with Michael ‘Mike D’ Diamond, Adam ‘Ad-Rock’ Horovitz and Michael ‘Mix Master Mike’ Schwartz.

The RZA, producer for the Wu-Tang-Clan is contributing rare memorabilia to the interactive music exhibit “Island Sounds: A 500 Year Music Mash-Up.”

RZA has gone above and beyond by donating the keyboard he used to create Wu-Tang Clan’s historic album Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). We all know that when it comes to music history this is a priceless artifact.

Diddy is no stranger to the media and he recently stepped forth to express his thoughts on the G. Dep guilty verdict.

Diddy broke his silence on G. Dep’s guilty conviction for a 1993 murder, an interview with Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex. Diddy point out that the confession was most likely brought forth due to G. Dep’s substance abuse and that he wasn’t in his right state of mind.

Prodigy recently confirmed that another Mobb Deep album is already in the making and should be out soon.

Prodigy and Havoc had been swarmed by media after rumors had emerged that they were beefing with each other through Twitter. However they had put the rumors to sleep after they admitted to it being a publicity stunt so that they could get everyone’s attention for their next project.
