Tuesday morning (Dec. 30), rapper DMX, born Earl Simmons, 38, who has been in the media on multiple occasions for multiple run-ins with the law and several missed court dates, pled guilty to his multiple various charges which date back to April of this year. The charges include multiple drug possession charges, theft and animal cruelty charges.

Louisiana rapper Lil Webbie, real name Webster Gradney, 23 (September 6), was arrested after a high speed chase on I-59 in Hattiesburg, MS. An article on “MemphisRap.com states that the police tried to stop a 2009 Dodge Challenger for a traffic violation which police state the driver ignored police lights and continued driving recklessly, according to WAFB. Lil Webbie managed to hit a black 1999 Mercury Cougar leaving the police to tend to the victims and lose sight of him. The police did manage to find the Challenger abandoned on a Walmart parking lot where witnesses informed them that a new vehicle had been obtained which was described as a 1993 Ford Crown Victoria. Police later found the automobile matching the description given by witnesses and found three men inside of it including rapper Lil Webbie.

This isn’t the first time rapper Da Brat born Shawntae Harris has assaulted someone, in 2000 the rapper pistol whipped a woman. Well on today (November 1), Da Brat was arrested for allegedly striking a waitress in the head with a rum bottle during an altercation at Jermaine Dupri’s Studio 72 nightclub. Rapper Snoop Dogg “Calvin Broadus” was booked Monday on one felony count of possession of a deadly weapon, a charge filed after security officers at a California airport found a collapsible baton in his laptop carrying case. The incident occurred on Sept. 27, as Broadus prepared to catch a flight to San Francisco.

Snoop Dogg turned himself over to authorities at the Orange County Jail Monday morning, states Susan Schroeder of the district attorney’s office.

“Snoop was promptly released on bail and welcomes an expedited trial which will reveal that these charges are completely unwarranted,” said Meredith O’Sullivan, the entertainer’s spokeswoman.

Currently Snoop Dogg’s bail was set at $150,000 and was expected to post bail according to Susan Schroeder of the district attorney’s office.

If convicted, the 35-year-old Snoop Dogg could possibly be sentenced to at least three years in prison.

The rapper told deputies at the time of his arrest that the baton was a prop for a movie. The charge was filed Nov. 2 and an arrest warrant was issued. His attorney, Donald Etra, has called the charge “bogus.”

As of last month, Snoop Dogg was arrested at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank for carrying illegal drugs and possession of a gun that was in the . He posted $35,000 bail and was ordered to appear in court Dec. 12, 2006.
