While standing together during an interview with ET, Oprah Winfrey and Kanye West agreed that Obama’s Democratic National Convention speech changed their lives. Oprah went on to say that seeing him on stage made her cry her eyelashes off and she feels like that promise was fulfilled after Googling Martin Luther King full speech earlier that morning about the promise of democracy.

“I’ve never experienced anything like this,” stated Oprah. Afterwards, Kanye West walked on camera and stated, “It changed my life,” at which moment Oprah Winfrey agreed those were the exact words she was looking for and it changed her life also. (more…)

Bill O’ Reilly calls 50 Cent a Pinhead after a video shows him being asked by Fox News who he is endorsing for the 2008 presidential race. 50 Cent responded saying Hillary Clinton and that both are good, but Hillary Clinton because he thinks America isn’t ready to have a black president (Barack Obama) because he think they might kill him. On July 11, former President Bill Clinton was scheduled to speak at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Mich. for an NAACP town-hall meeting, but at the last minute canceled his appearance. The NAACP brought in Master P as the replacement who came in addressed the controversy regarding hip-hop lyrics, strong Black leaders and placing value in education. More than 1,000 NAACP members attended the forum to address the new state of young Black American and the issues on poverty, education, and health.

Hip-hop veteran, Kurtis Blow, and the NAACP were scheduled to hold a press conference on Sunday, June 24 at Fellowship Chapel in Detroit to announce the banishment of the “N” word. The Holy Hip-Hop pastor and the Detroit Branch NAACP President, Rev. Wendell Anthony, had everything prepared to reveal their mock funeral for the death of the “N” word during the 98th Annual NAACP National Convention, but things didn’t work as according to plans.

With bars of soap and the NAACP, Al Sharpton hopes to clean up hip-hop starting first with Motown. While Sharpton collects bars of soap, the NAACP leaders hopes to have a mock funeral for the “N” word during a July convention in Detroit.

Since last month, Sharpton has been trying to get his campaign going with the help of Record Label Industry Executives on getting artists to clean up their lyrics by killing the “N” words along with a few other ones.
