Atlanta rapper, T.I. “Clifford Harris, Jr” who was arrested on Saturday, October 13, 2007 was denied bond by U.S. Magistrate judge Alan Baverman on yesterday after failing to meet the requirements (provide private alarm monitoring company and an employee to live on the property, property bond, etc.). The rapper entered a plea of not guilty on federal gun charges after being charged with illegal possession of unregistered machine guns and silencers, as well as possession of firearms by a convicted felon.

On October 13, agents claim that T.I. took delivery of three machine guns and two silencers from a bodyguard who was cooperating with ATF ( Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) after trying to purchase guns from an undercover ATF agent. The bobyguard reportedly told ATF that the guns were being purchased on T.I.’s behalf. (more…)

BET held a press conference on yesterday for the 2007 “Screamfest” Tour which will be headlined by Grammy Award winning artists Ciara and TI. In addition to having performances by Ciara and T.I., artists Yung Joc, Lloyd, and T-Pain have been added on.

“This is my second time being a part of the SCREAM and I must say that it feels bigger and better this year,” said Ciara. “I am very excited about the lineup. It’s the hottest names in music and I can guarantee that fans will be excited as well. Expect a lot of energy on this tour and expect to hear hit after hit after hit!”

T.I. proved that he has what it takes to be called the “King of The South” or should we say rap game? After all the slaps, pushing shoving and apologizing, the rapper pulled or more like yanked the number one spot with “T.I. vs T.I.P.” its first week on the Billboard 200. The Shop Boyz’ whose “Rockstar Mentality” which gained more publicity than it could handle, barely moved a total of 103k after having top sales in ringtones. Music producer/rapper Timbaland did fairly well after being out since early April with sells of more than 430k. Last but not least, Florida native T-Pain sold more than 401,000 for his album Epiphany which released June 5, 2007, which was more than 66,000 too short to beat “T.I.”.

In support of his new album “T.I. vs T.I.P.” which released on July 3, T.I. stopped by MTV’s TRL and performed for fans. Check out the photos.

In the August issue of Vibe, T.I. raves about his relationship with the mother of his son “King,” Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, former singer of music group Xscape. According to MTV, the rapper confirmed that he and Tameka “Tiny” Cottle had broken up in May, but reconciled.

After Ludacris and his manager Chaka Zulu were said to have arrived three hours into the “Make It Happen” luncheon held by music executive Kevin Liles of Warner Music Group, T.I. alledgely punched Zulu in the face after exchanging words with him. The Industry Event held at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywod turned into a brief shoving and pushing battle witnesses state after T.I. aimed to punch Chaka Zulu.
