The Game Impersonates Undercover Police

The Game
After leaving the “Late Show with David Letterman” The Game “Jayceon Taylor” hopped into a cab and told the cab driver that he was an undercover police officer and convinced him to run a series of red light according to police on Saturday.

The cab driver drove The Game about 13 blocks before being pulled over by flashing police lights Thursday night.

The Game attorney Jeffrey Lichtman stated that the charges were ridiculous.

“This harassment of The Game and other hip-hop artists by the NYPD has got to stop and a painful loss at trial may be just the solution,” he said.

According to The Game’s attorney Jeffrey Lichtman, the police were tailing the rapper all night and the cab driver was a terrible one who was trying to get out of trouble.

The Game is expected to appear in court at a later date.

NC police officers suing rapper The Game for defamation

The Game
Rapper The Game is being sued with a defamation lawsuit filed against him for more than $10,000 in damages. The suit was filed by five police officers involved in his arrest for resisting and disorderly conduct in a North Carolina shopping mall on Oct. 28, 2005.

Officers Hien Nguyen, Matthew Brown, Ryan Childrey, Romaine Watkins and David Gregory said they were libeled and slandered and had their images misappropriated, according to the lawsuit filed at the Guilford County Courthouse this week.

Reports state that the lawsuit stems from comments made to a TV interviewer by the rapper, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, after his arrest at a shopping mall on Oct. 28, 2005, in which he compared his treatment to that of Rodney King and claimed he was arrested for signing autographs.

The police admit that, during the fight, Officer Watkins used pepper spray to fend off some of The Game’s entourage when they “surrounded him in a threatening manner.” According to the reports, Watkins was investigated and cleared of any wrongdoing related to the case.

The officers were also upset by the release of a video of the arrest, which was shot by one of The Game’s friends. They claim a website airing the recording states that it shows The Game “being wrongfully arrested and brutalized by the police in North Carolina.” Parts of the video are also available on YouTube.com, a defendant in the suit, and the complete recording can be seen on the dvd, “Stop Snitching/Stop Lying.”

The officers are requesting more than $10,000 each in damages and one of them claims he lost $7,500 in off-duty pay, since he was afraid to enter the mall again.

The Game’s latest album, “Doctor’s Advocate,” is to be released on November 14th.

The Game
Is this a MySpace publicity stunt to get more rappers on the site or did The Game find a new way to help promote his album? You be the judge. This will make you get a little curious, because how many of us on Myspace use our real names. Here’s the story ….

While surfing the web one night, The Game “Jayceon Taylor” decided to type in the name of the sister who he states he hasn’t seen since he was a child – and was astonished to find she is a myspacer too.

“MySpace is dope, man. I recently found my sister that I haven’t seen since she was three years old on MySpace, I typed in her name, and the shit pops up.”

No one has any other information at this time, but The Game’s album “Game’s Doctor’s Advocate” is slated to be in stores November 14.
