Singer Mya Harrison, was allegedly spotted with her friends on Tuesday night at the Spotlight Live in Times Square singing her own songs at the karaoke restaurant. Maybe she was just getting her practice in…. who knows.

Currently the singer has been working on her fourth studio album “Liberation” on and off since 2004 which is expected to be released by Motown Records on September 18, 2007. The album will feature guest appearances by rappers Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg and Charli Baltimore. The first single released was “Lock U Down” featuring Lil Wayne and the latest release is ‘Ridin’ which is definitely hot. (more…)

Even though the songstress Mya “Mýa Marie Harrison” has been gone for sometime, she’s been working behind the scenes. Now the hot sexy femme is back with a new album “Liberation”.

Lately she’s been making her rounds around quietly such as at the Europe’s Life Ball 2007 in Vienna doing promos and having outstanding performances here and there. So what’s the deal with the single. Industry insiders are saying that she’s not getting the proper marketing that she needs and the wrong song is being promoted. Only time will tell.

Mya is back at it again with her diss on 50 cent. She states that 50 cent is claiming he slept with her which is not true. “If that’s how you choose to succeed, then karma’s a bitch. I don’t have time for that small bullshit”, states Mya.

Even though Mya is having her issues with 50 cent, she also just had a tough time with her parents’ divorce which happened right after the debut of her album. Mya says that it had an effect on her career greatly. The divorce forced her to fire her dad as her manager and hire new management. “My dad took it very personally. My family fell apart and it was very psychotic”, states Mya. Since then she has prepared her fourth album Liberation and has also hired her father back as her manager and her mother as her accountant. Since then she says her energy has been different.

“I feel like I have control and I’m a grown woman now”, Mya stated.

R&B/Hip-Hop singer Mya recently denied that she has ever dated 50 Cent, and sources say that she even hinted that Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson may even be gay.

If this is an attempt to help with the boost of her new album “Liberation” which is due in stores November 14 via Motown/Universal, HipHopRx doesn’t actually know. However, sources goes on to say she said that he is choosing to believe what he wants even though she knows for sure that the two never dated. Was it a date or just an outing?
