Music producer and rapper Dr Dre confirms that he will be releasing his upcoming album Detox in 2010 and a new single is on the way. The new single is expected to drop in 2 weeks.

Dr Dre in an HP (Hewlett Packard) commercial ad ‘Let’s Do Amazing’ which features a cameo by rapper Stat Quo.

Ashanti is hooking up with one of hip hop’s top producers, Dr. Dre and rapper, The Game to produce what Ashanti says is going to be a “SMMMIZAAASHHH”.

Dr. Dre has been working on ‘Detox’ for about eight years now. ‘Detox’ is possibly the most anticipated album that Dre has ever released. He says that though the album is near perfection, he does not expect the album to hit the shelves before 2011.

Dre says Jay-Z has been in the studio writing and is hoping to get Jay-Z to perform on the Detox album. “Hopefully I’ll get him to perform on the record. Jay, come holler!”

The former defunct and now newly revamped Death Row Records acquired and headed by CEO Lara Lavi has announced that they will be be moving into film production.
