Gospel Rapper Mali Music has just been signed by Akon to his Konvict label.
Continuing to build up his Konvict Music brand, Akon has signed gospel rapper Mali Music to his label. The new deal shows Akon’s mission to expand his label into various music genres, which already include hip-hop, pop, and R&B music.
Akon talks about the key to running a succesful business, believing in it fully, his financial mentor and more. The singer and songwriter states that you must be willing to put everything on the line for it or otherwise there is no purpose in investing. Check out the video.

A mob of about 200 began rioting in front of a venue in Sri Lanka to protest an upcoming Akon concert. The rioters began throwing stones at Majaraja Organization’s headquarters Monday, injuring four workers and damaging the building.

Music producer/singer Akon and rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are the latest to have been been hit with a lawsuit for allegedly sampling. Fort Worth, TX company Songster filed a lawsuit against the two parties citing that they sampled from the 1970′s song “When The Day Will Come” which they own the rights to.
