MTV (Music Television) has teamed up with Sean “Diddy Combs” (Bad Boy) and Mark Burnet to search for the next American music star in a new reality television series titled “Starmaker”. Combs who has been developing the show concept since ‘07 recently brought on Burnett this spring in effort to push the show forth and was given the green light for January of ‘09.

Sean “Diddy” Combs has officially put the band together which aired last night on MTV. The winners include 5 band members: Robert, Willie, Qwanell, Big Mike, and Brian A. Donnie the white boy got a solo deal with Bad Boy, which I envisioned and told someone during the first few shows. That’s what I call physic powers!

There’s a chance that this band will give Danity Kane a run for their money. Now it all boils down to what songs they will run with.

The song selections will either make them or break them.

J Records recording artist Cassidy is looking for hot new talent and is asking those interested to call 215-701-0998 and hit him with their hottest 16 bars. Casting has begun for the lead in the new movie “NOTORIOUS,” which is a biopic about Brooklyn rapper Notorious B.I.G. (a.k.a. Biggie Smalls) born Christopher Wallace. The movie will be about his rise to fame until his death, which will be directed by George Tillman (Men of Honor, Soul Food) and produced by Voletta Wallace (B.I.G.’s Mom), Wayne Barrow, Mark Pitts (B.I.G.’s former managers) and Bob Teitel.

According to reports, 50 Cent will serve as a judge on YouTube’s upcoming contest called “The YouTube OntheRise Rap Edition.” The contest will reportedly give aspiring rappers a chance to showcase their skills and receive a singles deal from G-Unit Records.

The contest will take place from August 10-17 and rappers will have the opportunity to submit original videos showing their talent on YouTube.com. Judges for the competition will include 50 Cent, rapper Common and music producer Polow da Don. The judges will select 20 finalist which will be voted on by the YouTube community on August 29. Sean “P. Diddy” Combs has invited fans to enter his “Get Off” Contest to post their own version of the “Get Off” dance.

On P. Diddy’s YouTube video which is posted on his myspace he stated, “If any of yall out there feel like I do when I hear music, I got a contest for yall. “I want you to videotape yourself, 1-3 minutes, of your version of getting off to my song “Get Off”.

The person that wins will get their video placed on P. Diddy’s Myspace page and his YouTube channel. The winner will win a number of things including Sean John merchandise, Bad Boy albums and more.
