Your heard right! The State of Florida may be telling Flo Rida that he has to change his name because they had the name first and his negative hip hop lyrics are costing them money! Hmmmm, this may be an April Fool’s! The State of Florida bringing a lawsuit against rapper Flo Rida and trying to force the rapper to change his name??!!

MTV To Pull Down TV Stations on Time Warner
At midnight tonight Viacom is expected to pull it’s most popular TV stations off air on Time Warner Cable Networks. As of today, December 31st, on the eve of a New Year, MTV.com issued out an alert to visitors to its website in the form of a pop-up window stating that Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks will be pulling MTV channels down over a dispute between the cable companies and MTV (Viacom Inc.).

Warner Music Group and YouTube
Warner Music Group, one of the first media companies to strike a deal with YouTube, is looking to make more money from online video with the video sharing giant. The label first struck a deal with YouTube back in late September of 2006. Meanwhile, in the present, the label has decided to pull it’s video catalog from YouTube until a new deal is worked out.

Michael Jackson

Pop singer Michael Jackson was taken to court by Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the son of an Arab monarch named King of Bahrain, over $7 million dollars on Monday, November 17 citing breach of contract at the Royal Courts of Justice in London.

Although Jackson didn’t appear during court for the trial, the singer believes the money that Al-Khalifa provided him with was given as a gift, however according to Al Khalifa attorneys say the advancement was intended for joint recording projects as well as to hire legal advisors on the recording deal and his interests in the Sony/ATV publishing catalogue and Jackson’s home the Neverland Ranch, two things Jackson were about to lose according to court documents.

James “J.” Prince, CEO of Rap-A-Lot Records, has launched a lawsuit against BET, Viacom and Apple for defamation of character over an episode of BET’s show “American Gangster”. In the lawsuit, Prince claims that BET wrongfully used the images of Prince and Rap-A-Lot employee, Thomas Randle, in the promotion and advertising of the “American Gangster” series. (more…)
