Waka Flocka Flame Speaks About Chief Keef’s Two Month Imprisonment
Waka Flocka Flame speaks about his feelings for the two month imprisonment of the 17 year old rapper Chief Keef. Keef was sentenced to a 60 day sentence in juvenile detention in which the judge ruled that the rapper had violated his probation.
In a recent interview with MTV News, Waka Flocka Flame stated that some people should just not judge young rappers, but instead help them out and lead them to the right path.
“That Chief Keef situation; that just showed me how people can just disrespect you and accept you at the same time. That’s a kid at the end of the day. I feel like that’s me when I first started rapping, people judged me,” he said. “It’s just that they judge you because they don’t understand you. Instead of judging the kid and just bashing him down, why not reach an arm out and help him.”
Waka Flocka Flame has made plans to visit Chief Keef during his imprisonment, and stated that he will be a role model to Keef so he can grow in his career. ”People like me, I could just show him the bigger picture like, ‘You ain’t gotta hold no gun in no interview. It’s bigger than that, you’re already there. Get your people out,’ ” Waka told MTV News today. “That goes to show people don’t care about the situation they just gonna laugh at the lifestyle.”Photo credit: hiphopwired.com
