Rapper Johnny Boy Da Prince Killed
Johnny Boy Da Prince was shot and killed. The rapper’s manager believes it was a case of mistake identity.
Johnny Boy Da Prince was an up-and-coming rapper from Chicago who was killed Wednesday night.
Chicago Tribune reported, that the rapper, Johnny Taylor, was killed at Garfield Park and shot several times. The police found his body in an alley hidden. Dillard Florence, the rapper’s manager, stated that he went in for surgery, but the injuries were too extensive to be fixed.
Dillard states that the shooting was a case of “mistaken identity.” Johnny was recording a song, “Just Like You,” and just finished the final product.
He was supposed to have a meeting with Atlantic Records this past week, and reports state that Universal and Epic were both interested.
“I see a lot of emails,” Fechter said. “I listened to it, I liked what I heard, I asked for more. I played it at a meeting and everyone liked it. We were working on a meeting, bringing him in. Get him to meet everyone before a decision is made.”
