Chief Keef’s Stepbrother Killed
Chief Keef’s 19 year old step-brother, Ulysses “Chris” Gissendanner III, was killed on Wednesday, January 2nd. Chief Keef’s stepbrother became yet another victim of Chicago, Illinois’ shooting epidemic.
According to DNA Info, they stated that Chris Gissendanner was shot in the back of the head on the Far South Side. He was killed in a car near 124th Street and South Avenue while he was visiting his uncle in West Pullman. The ambulance went to scene, but once he arrived at Roseland Hospital, Chris had passed away.
Alfonso Cozart, claims to be Chief Keef’s biological father, was the stepfather to Chris Gissendanner, his rapping name was YPN Boomtown. Chief Keef was related to Chris through marriage.
Cozart, no longer speaks to Keef but stated that Chris’ murder makes him worry about Keef’s well being. “As a caring father, who wouldn’t worry about that?” Cozart asked. “I do want my son to have success and have a long, positive life, and I hope the best for him.”
He also stated that he doesn’t want Chief Keef’s fame to overshadow his stepbrother’s passing. “He just graduated high school, and was in college and had a job. He was a positive person,” Cozart said. “I’m not trying to get publicity of Chief Keef being my son. I want you to focus on Ulysses. He’s the one that’s gone.”
This is another death in Chicago that involves teens due to gunfire. Keef’s enemy was Lil JoJo lost his life at 16, while Joshua was murdered at 18 years old, both last year.Photo credit: allhiphop.com
