Ne-Yo was celebrating New Year’s Eve with MTV and he stated that he wants to help make a comeback by bringing back R&B in 2013. In a recent appearance on MTV’s Club NYE 2013 on Monday, December 31, Ne-Yo spoke about what he’d like to see more of in the New Year.

He didn’t explain his New Year’s resolution rather he just stated that he wants R&B music to make a comeback for 2013. He is also hoping to see slow jam return in 2013, so people can have a different taste in genres.

“You know what? R&B music. Y’all remember slow jams? I want R&B to make a comeback in 2013 and I’m gonna try and have something to do with that,” Ne-Yo shared with MTV News.
That night Ne-Yo performed “Let Me Love You,” and was joined by Sean Kingston and Rita Ora during MTV’s New Year’s Eve special.

His performance came just weeks after the release of his R.E.D. album which was released to stores on November 6, 2012.
