Jay-Z Will Be Working On The Film “The Great Gatsby”

Jay-Z will be working on “The Great Gatsby” with The Bullitts’ Jeymes Samuel. Kanye West and Jay-Z’s “No Church In The Wild” made an appearance in the trailer of The Great Gatsby film, but it now seems that Jay-Z’s involvement with the film is much greater than a song.

The Huffington Post recently revealed, Jay-Z will be creating the score for the Baz Luhrmann-directed film along with The Bullitts’ Jeymes Samuel.

Jay-Z’s involvement in writing the score has yet to be confirmed, Samuel did tweet on December 30: “Jay-Z and myself have been working tirelessly on the score for the upcoming #CLASSIC The Great Gatsby! It is too DOPE for words!”

Jay-Z will be joining artists such as RZA and Pharrell Williams who have both worked on the scores in various films. The Great Gatsby will be starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire.
The movie is set to hit theaters on May 10, 2013.
