Rick Ross has stated that the biggest move of the year for Maybach Music Group is their move to Atlantic Records. The news was confirmed last week, December 11, when the footage of Rick Ross’ interview with Miami’s 99 Jamz was released on the Internet.

Rick Ross was quite confident in his announcement that he made on-air and he even said that the change was “the biggest move of the year.”

“I got another announcement as well. I’m excited for this year we got coming up man. This is really huge. MMG we just merged with Atlantic Records. It’s the biggest move of the year. We gonna leave it right there,” Rick Ross stated. “I’m signed as a solo artist to Def Jam. And Meek Mill, Wale, we all MMG at the end of the day.”

Young Jeezy became the Senior VP of A&R at Atlantic Records back in August of this year. Rick Ross stated that Young Jeezy made the announcement but his announcement wasn’t as cheerful.

“It’s not personal, but if I see Young Jeezy again, will I try to choke him? I don’t know. That’s an option,” said Ross.
