Cash Money Records Sells 500 Million Singles

Cash Money Records sells 500 million singles worldwide. The YMCMB family has added another title their name.

In a recent press release, Cash Money has officially announced that they have sold over 500 million singles worldwide.

This year Nicki Minaj has sold platinum release LPs and last year Lil Wayne and Drake sold multi-platinum. Birdman stated that while it’s an accomplishment for both him and his brother Ronald “Slim” Williams.

“There is no more dynamic and prolific a label than Cash Money Records and the YMCMB family – point blank. We’re proud of every one of our artists and their contribution to our legacy,” he said. “What’s most humbling is the global reaction to our story. Slim and I built this label from the ground up and seeing our brand connect with people across borders, culture and language makes us appreciate every one of our fans worldwide. It feels great to sell 500 million songs but fans should know, we aren’t going to stop now, and will continue our legacy.”

This isn’t the only achievement Lil Wayne has accomplished. In September, Lil Wayne has beaten Elvis Presley’s record for most number of Billboard Top 100 Hits.
