Usher has had quite a few weeks as he has not only been in a legal battle with his ex-wife, but also had to suffer the loss of his step son in a tragic ski accident.
To top it off the RnB singer was reprimanded a few weeks ago for canceling one of his ex-wifes credit cards, but it seems that he may have finally caught a break.
Tameka Foster and Usher have been in this legal battle for a while now and he finally won custody over their two children Usher Raymond V, four, and Naviyd Ely, three.
TMZ reports that on Friday a judge ruled in favor of Usher, awarding him with principal guardianship of the tykes. Usher is more than happy with the results.
“It’s a relief it’s over,” a source told Us Weekly. “An independent party looked at the evidence and did the right thing.”
The children will spend most of their time with Usher. Tameka retains some custodial rights, but the details of her visitation privileges are currently unclear.
This may not be a complete victory for the family, but for the time being Usher is completely happy with having custody of both of his kids.
