Chris Brown Isn’t Leaving The Music Scene
Chris Brown is apparently not retiring as many thought after yesterday BET awards.
After winning Best Male R&B Artist prize at last night’s BET Awards, held at the Shine Auditorium in Los Angeles many had thought that Chris was exiting from the music world as his acceptance speech seemed to confirm him planning to leave the music business.
“I’d like to thank Team Breezy [his fans], everybody who worked on any one of my albums,” he said.
“My last album that’s coming out in two days… I just want to thank all my fans. It’s dedicated to y’all. This one’s for y’all, man, I appreciate everything.”
Chris was talking about his new record Fortune and his representative was quick to tell MTV News the star’s words had been misunderstood by the press and the public.
As he finished the new songs several months ago, he simply meant it is the last album he has worked on.
Chris was also the center of the rumor mill last night after reports said he had been arrested for gun possession at the music ceremony.
People began to post claims the police had taken the star into custody on Twitter, with further allegations Drake may have been involved.
The singer’s representative insisted he hadn’t been arrested. ‘Nothing of the sort happened,’ the spokesperson said.
