Drake Confirms Appearance In Canadian Amphitheatre
Drake has been knocking tracks back and forth this past year and recently enjoyed the success of his latest album, but he leaves no time to rest as he recently announced that the 3rd annual OVO FEST is geared up to take place on August 5th at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre.
The hip-hop summer festival has an array of special guests that such as The Weeknd, A$AP Rocky and 2 Chainz. The Annual event promises to be a blast as Drake announced that he will be headlining following his sold out 27-city Club Paradise Tour.
“Bringing together the 3rd Annual OVO Fest is such a milestone for me,” said Drake.
“A lot has happened over the last three years-a journey that I’m so grateful for-but it’s always coming home and performing for my hometown that means the most. This year, we’re going to bring it just like we do every year-with high energy and music at its best.”
NOW Magazine has called the OVO Fest “a joyous love-in” for Toronto, and in previous years, the festival has seen Drake invite many greats such as Jay-Z, Eminem and Stevie Wonder, onto the stage for exciting cameos.
Drake’s current Club Paradise Tour features rising hip hop stars J. Cole, Waka Flocka Flame, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz and French Montana. Reviews for Drake’s tour are glowing with the Kansas City Star raving
“Drake is one of the savviest pop acts of the new millennium.”
Not saying that it’s a concrete thing but odds are that the Rest of the Young Money crew may be there as well considering the fact that Drake is having a record year.
