Jay-Z Will Be Taking A Break From Music

Jay-Z has amassed quite a fortune over the past years through his music career. However, Hov recently revealed that he will be laying back and enjoying the extra time with his new born daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, instead of writing new material for his unreleased tracks.

Jay-Z was the talk of the town in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania earlier this morning as he made the trip to the city to announce the two-day Budweiser “Made in America” festival, taking place in September.

While covering with media on the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum, Jay- Z to the time to talk with Billboard’s The Juice, and explained that he won’t be releasing new music anytime soon on account of his baby daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

“I thought I would be more inspired to have all these new feelings to talk about, but I really just want to hang out with my daughter,” said Jay.

“I want to enjoy this time for what it is. I’m sure that bug to get back in the studio will come back at some point.”

Jay-Z also took the time to fill everyone in on his relationship with Anheuser Busch and why he decided to partner with the company for the “Made in America” festival.

Although he has yet to reveal who will be part of the lineup he said that he’s got roughly 70 percent of the lineup locked in.

“I had a relationship with Anheuser Busch going back to Bud Select [in 2006], and all those things came together and piqued my interest as another way to make an iPod playlist that’s gonna play for two days live,” he said.

“I like all the new guys in the industry as far as rap. I discovered this new song – it’s not really new, but it’s a song that I love by Michael Kiwanuka. I really like what he’s doing. There’s a bunch I just can’t think of right now.”
