Akon has come face to face with legal troubles for failing to pay legal fees.
Akon has been sued for $39,000 for breach of contract by lawyers that he hired last year.
According to TMZ, the Senegalese singer hired the firm Yoss last year, but then backed off on paying $39,363.74 for legal services. The firm is now suing him for failing to hand over the money and staying true to their contract.
In response to the lawsuit, Akon has filed a counterclaim, stating that there is no basis for the suit. He is asking the judge to dismiss the case.
