Petey Pablo 3 Year Sentence

The former platinum selling rapper, Petey Pablo was arrested for trying to smuggle a gun through an airport back in SEPTEMBER 11. (I know, seriously what was he thinking?)

Now it’s been reported that he finally began his three-year prison term on January 4 by turning himself in to a medium security federal correction institution in West Virginia.

According to court docs obtained by TMZ, the court recommended Pablo receive “intensive substance abuse treatment, vocational training and educational opportunities” while locked up.

If Petey does enroll himself into any the programs and does successfully complete them, then he’ll be able to rack up some extra credit on good-time, meaning he can cut his time inside by at least half a year.

He is scheduled be released on July 17, 2014.
