Nicki Minaj’s New Album Set For Early 2012

Nicki Minaj’s new album will be available in early 2012, says Bryan “Birdman” Williams.

The Cash Money Records founder was excited to announce that the singer could be releasing the follow-up to her hit debut Pink Friday very soon.

He confirmed that Nicki is having a great time creating new music for the as yet untitled new record.

‘Nicki’s back in the studio, so we’re looking to drop Nicki in the first quarter,’ Bryan told Billboard.

Birdman also hinted that Nicki may have a new single out earlier than expected. He doesn’t want to hold the star back.

“Maybe this year? I don’t know,” he said about releasing a single. “We’re really thinking it out. But she’s in the studio, and we’re looking real soon, because she’s ready to go and we’re ready to go with her.”

Pink Friday was a huge success after its release in November 2010 it peaked at the top of the U.S. Billboard 200 and was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Nicki was the first artist ever to have seven singles on the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time. Now, many fans and critics alike are expecting for her next album to be just a god or if not better than her first one.
