People

R&B singer Kelly Rowland who is prepping to release her third solo album later this year is standing strong on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and even beat out her one-time group member Beyonce.

According to Kelly Rowland in an interview with Billboard, she wanted people to know that her third upcoming album titled “Here I Am,” is the record and the sound that she has been working towards so quote ….”here I am.”

With the release of the song “Motivation” featuring Lil Wayne which has been climbing the charts, it shows that Kelly Rowland, 30, has definitely found her sound. Prior singles that she released on last year which included “Commander,” “Rose Colored Glasses,” “Grown Woman” and “Forever and a Day” failed to top the charts therefore ending in pushing the planned album release date back to the Fall of 2011.

Currently her latest single “Motivation” stands at No. 26 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 2 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs while Beyonce’s latest single “Run The World (Girls)” sits at No. 76 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 30 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

“Here I Am” will be Kelly Rowland’s first release with Universal Motown since departing with Columbia Records and her first project without Mathew Knowles as her manager.
