The Memphis In May Beale St. Music Festival announced it’s biggest artist line-up ever on March 3rd. This year marks the events’ 35th anniversary.

Beginning April 29th through May 1st, music fiends from all over the globe will pour into the city of Memphis for the annual Beale St. Music Festival.

Over 60 artists are set to perform including Ludacris, Cee-Lo Green, Memphis’ own 8 Ball and MJG, Ke$ha, B.O.B, and Charlie Wilson. Other artists include Ziggy Marley, Drowning Pool, Godsmack, Macy Gray, The Flaming Lips, Hinder, plus other talented acts.

The Japan Earthquake heard worldwide, at least via the news, has reportedly left hundreds dead and was immediately followed by a Japan Tsunami. The Japan Earthquake is being recorded as a 8.9 earthquake making it the fifth largest earthquake since 1900 to hit the Pacific coast.

Nashville, TN., ex G-Unit rapper Young Buck has reportedly plead not guilty to fire arms possession on Monday.

The former 50 Cent protege’ and member of the multi-platinum selling rap group G-Unit, plead not guilty to a felony gun possession charge in a Nashville court on Monday, March 7th.

Waka Flocka gets nude for PETA’s “Ink, Not Mink” ad campaign. The rapper is bearing all with hopes that fewer animals will have to.

Waka is joining PETA in an effort to prevent all the suffering that innocent animals go through everyday when they are slaughtered for their fur. According to PETA, Waka is urging the hip-hop community to “understand what you buy.”

R&B singer Carl Thomas was recently talking about his new album ‘Conquer’ and said that Nicki Minaj is Hip hop’s ‘Bacon.’

Carl Thomas, whose new album is set to hit stores this May, was speaking of the album and his collaboration with Kid Capri that will be featured on the album. Thomas says that the collaboration with Kid Capri was personal because he has known Kid Capri for years and they are very good friends. Also during his talk, Thomas mentioned that today’s hip hop was lacking the personal touch that the two artists brought to the song.
