Long Beach Rapper Nate Dogg Dead At 41; Hip Hop Community Responds

Rapper Nate Dogg, real name, Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, has reportedly died. The rapper, who was best known for his association with rapper Snoop Dogg and Tha Dogg Pound reportedly is dead of unknown reasons at this time but it is suspected that the rapper may have passed of reasons due to his recent health issues.

Born in Long Beach, California, rapper Nate Dogg produced the hit single “Regulate” with running mate Warren G in 1994 and has been featured on many of Tupac releases as well.

Nate Dogg had been battling with health issues, including two strokes — one in 2007 and the second in 2008 as reported on www.HipHopRX.com.

Nate Dogg was reportedly discovered by Dr Dre when the now mega producer, first heard Nate Dogg’s demo at a house party which prompted his debut on Dr Dre’s classic album The Chronic which was released in December 15, 1992.

Long Beach artists and fellow friends including Snopp Dogg, Kurupt, Daz Dillinger and others in the hip hop community are already expressing their condolences on Twitter.

Nate Dogg passed on Tuesday (March 15, 2011) and was 41 years old at the time of this death.
