Christina Aguilera Gets Another Chance After Super Bowl National Anthem Flub?!
The Super Bowl is more than a week gone, but people were still talking about Christina Aguilera’s National Anthem flub performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” before kickoff of Super Bowl 2011′s win by Green Bay Packers over the Pittsburgh Steelers, even Conan O’Brien!
Grammy award winning singer Christina Aguilera sang the National Anthem at the Super Bowl on past Sunday and although Christina Aguilera’s voice was beautiful as always, there was one thing wrong with the performance; she messed up the words or should we say ‘fumbled’ them!
Instead of singing ‘O’er the ramparts we watched’ she sang ‘O so proudly we watched.’ Some people speculated that she didn’t sing the words right because she was unpatriotic but these accusations are apparently completely untrue. Sources close to Christina Aguilera say that she was just nervous about singing at the Super Bowl.
In fact, Christina Aguilera has sang the National Anthem many times before and reportedly gotten all of the words right.
Yet still, over a week gone, people are still talking about the Christina Aguilera National Anthem flub, even Conan O’Brien.
In related news, according to Fox News Latino, Christina Aguilera was given another chance to get it right by The Brooklyn Cyclones who reportedly invited the Staten Island native to re-sing the “The Star Spangled Banner” at their minor league baseball game.
