Bruno Mars Pleads Guilty; Strikes Deal in Las Vegas Cocaine Case

Reportedly, RnB star Bruno Mars has been sentenced to community service as well as probation and drug counseling after striking a guilty plea deal to possession of cocaine.

Bruno Mars, 25, was arrested back in September at the Hardrock Hotel in Las Vegas after a bathroom attendant caught the singer with what appeared to be cocaine in one of the stalls. The attendant notified police and Mars was charged with possession of cocaine.

The singer is required to serve 200 hours of community service, one year of probation, pay a 2,000 dollar fine and attend drug counseling as result of pleading guilty according to the Las Vegas Review Journal.

Mars will be able to withdraw his guilty plea if he completes his probation with out any problems and all charges will be dismissed because he is a first time offender.

Mars is reported to have told police officers that “he has never used drugs before”, adding that his decision was “foolish.”

Bruno Mars is known for co-writing the hooks for hits such as ‘Nothing on You’ by B.o.B. and ‘Billionaire by Travie McCoy as well as his solo efforts ‘The Way You Are’ and his most recent single ‘Grenade’ off his debut album ‘Doo-Wops and Hooligans’, In stores now.
