This New Year’s Eve many will bring in New Year’s Day with style while others tune in on the televisions to watch the count down. So what else is there to do? There’s actually a lot of things to do on New Year’s.
We’ll start our list off for those either single and ‘ready to mingle’ or those who have young adults (kids who are capable of taking care of themselves). There should be tons of local night clubs and hot spots waiting for your arrival, but don’t forget to share it with friends that are important and leave with them, because we’d like you to be safe than sorry. You could find yourself a hot date and go dine out, look for a restaurant that will be celebrating the New Year’s festivities and staying open past normal business hours — that’s after 12:00 AM.
Visit the casino, there are casino’s all around the world — Las Vegas, Nevada; Tunica Resorts, Mississippi; Sydney, Australia; Paradise Island, Bahamas; Porto Carras, Greece; Pasay City, Philippines; Johannesburg, South Africa; and more. You never know, you may get lucky while bringing in the New Year’s Day.
You also have some of the popular locations to celebrate such as Times Square in New York, Beale Street in Memphis, the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Universal Orlando Resort in Florida, The Strip in Las Vegas, amongst others.
By the way, you could always opt to stay home and have a nice quiet candle lit dinner, catch a movie, or find yourself a nice hotel room with a beautiful view to watch the fireworks with your lover or special friends.
Now on to the list for those many people tend to forget about — those that have children, pregnant or looking for a more positive environment. Home is the best place to start for those who don’t want to leave out — you can play host to your own party. If you have kids, you can set-up a kids area with non-alcoholic beverages (that goes for pregnant women too), an assortment of cheeses and/or non-dairy vegetarian cheeses, dips, chips and elegant crackers. Kids like to feel included, you should know the feeling.
There is also Walt Disney World in Florida where they have a gorgeous fireworks display and it’s not just for those with kids.
You also have church as an option to bring in the New Year. Yes, there are churches who will be having shut-ins, meanings they’ll be staying over night and serving breakfast later in the morning. You’ll be able to ‘get your praise on’ and then eat some nice breakfast.
For those who don’t attend church, there should be several museums open in your local area and many of them like to serve hors d’oeuvres. Another option as mentioned above is catching a movie or either renting one. If you’re strapped for cash, redbox should come in handy, some welches grapejuice, and a snack should do just fine.
Now for our people with goals, this is the best time to start committing to what you promised to do. Why wait a week, a few days or even another year? Who’s to say that you will see another day. It’s best to get started now, don’t you think?
Now let’s bring in the New Year and be sure to kiss your favorite loved one from this day on.
