Contrary to beliefs that Nicki Minaj was going to sell over 425,000 for her debut album Pink Friday, the female rapper did not make her expected number but came close, and still landed at the #2 chart position this week.
Pink Friday debuted at number #2, selling 371,049 copies following behind Kanye West’s album, “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” which took the #1 sells spot.
The album Pink Friday features star-studded collaborations which include the likes of Eminem, Drake, Rihanna, will.i.am, Natasha Bedingfield and Kanye West; and production by Swizz Beatz, J.R. Rotem, Drew Money, will.i.am, Kane Beatz, amongst others.
