Although Katy Perry’s duet with Elmo was banned from broadcasting on Sesame Street singing her song ‘Hot N Cold,’ it seems the music star has gained some publicity along with and her and her boobs will be making an appearance on The Simpsons.
Katy Perry’s appearance singing a duet with Elmo was pulled after many complained that the singer’s outfit was too revealing for toddlers and preschoolers to watch, as reported on www.HipHopRx.com. After Sesame Workshop (Sesame Street) issued a statement concerning the reasoning behind that particular segment getting banned, the ‘I Kissed A Girl’ singer posted via her twitter that it looked like her play date with Elmo had been cut short and ended her message with, “Tag you’re it, Elmo!”
The following day, Elmo made an appearance on “Good Morning America,” inviting Katy Perry back for another play date. Since then, Katy Perry appeared on SNL (Saturday Night Live) this past Saturday in a Sesame Street spoof in a skit with Amy Poehler and former castmember Maya Rudolph. For the skit Katy Perry wore a red shirt with her boobs highly on display with a slit in the front. The shirt which is obviously the body of Elmo, showcased his eyes, nose and mouth for the Bronx Beat with Betty & Jodi parody.
“Who cares if kids are looking at boobs, boobs feed babies,” says Jodi Dietz played by Maya Rudolph tells Katy Perry who portrays a teenager getting too much attention at a library when reading to kids.
As for now, 24 year-old Katy Perry, is expected to be appearing on the Springfield’s cartoon family show The Simpsons for a Christmas episode. Katy Perry will be doing a live segment interacting with The Simpsons puppets which was taped prior to the Sesame Street segment getting pulled.
On The Simpsons, Katy Perry will be singing “The 39 Days Of Christmas.” The television episode with Katy Perry airs on December 5, 2010 on Fox.
