According to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Young Money rapper Lil Wayne who’s still incarcerated serving a one year prison sentence, owes 1.5 million dollars in back taxes and they want it now!
Wayne reportedly owes back taxes for the years 2004, 2005 and 2007.
According to an AllHipHop.com source, Lil Wayne isn’t the only rapper being targeted, the IRS reportedly has a special unit that tails and tracks rappers and other artists.
Meanwhile, since being in jail, the rapper has made headlines for a prison guard fired for allegedly spying on Lil Wayne, for a lawsuit alleging that Lil Wayne and producers stole the song Lollipop, another lawsuit for the song Milli, as well as for allegedly sneaking a music player into his cell wrongfully and more.
Rapper Lil Wayne is currently at Riker’s Island where the rapper is currently serving out a one year sentence for gun possession.
