Janet Jackson Graces Cover Of Essence Magazine; Headlines Essence Music Festival 2010

Pop/R&B singer and icon Janet Jackson is the face of Essence Magazine for it’s August issue. The 44 year-old singer and actress speaks about living her life on her own terms in the issue and more.

There’s also a piece in the same issue of singer Jill Scott who has expressed her thoughts on interracial dating and is calling for black men to step up there game.

In addition to being in the August issue of Essence, both Janet Jackson and Jill Scott will also be headlining the Essence Music Festival July 4th in New Orleans to a sold-out crowd.

Others expected to headline include Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Monica, Keri Hilson, amongst others.
