Posion frontman Bret Michaels born Bret Michael Sychak who has been in the hospital after a severe brain hemorrhage, as reported on www.HipHopRX.com, has doctors amazed at his will to live and stay conscious.

The rock star, who also has longtime been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, has been at the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ after been affected with the condition known as subarachnoid hemorrhage on April 22, 2010.

A health document states that Subarachnoid hemorrhage sometimes occurs from a ruptured cerebral aneurysm, or may result from head injury and can include a number of symptoms including a severe headache, vomiting, confusion, lowered consciousness and on occasions it can onset seizures.

According to neurosurgeon Dr. Zabramski, if it wasn’t for Bret Michaels getting to the hospital while trying to stay conscious and the immediate attention of their medical staff, they may not have been able to stabilize his condition. This combination is what has kept Bret Michaels alive.

Meanwhile, testing has continued on Bret Michaels to determine what was the actual cause of the hemorrhage.

On Tuesday at 12 p.m., a press conference is scheduled to take place in which the hospital administration at Barrow Neurological Institute will give an update on Bret Michaels’ status as well as the treatments and tests that are taking place.
