Dr. Dre’s son, Curtis Young, is following in the footsteps of his father as he prepares for his debut album release as well as the launch of his label Young Entertainment Inc.

Curtis Young, the biological son of legendary rapper and producer Dr. Dre, who didn’t meet his father until the age of 21, is prepping for his debut album release ‘Product of My DNA’ and the launch of his new record label ‘Young Entertainment Inc.’, in which the album will be released under.

Young speaks about how grateful he is to follow in his father’s footsteps.

“My world became complete when I finally met my father [Dr. Dre] at the age of 21,” Curtis Young told AllHipHop.com adding that he’s “extremely grateful” for Dre paving the road for him and other hip hop artists and producers such as him.

Curtis Young says that he feels “privileged to have the opportunity to take over a legacy” claiming that his father has “set extremely high standards to existing and upcoming producers all over the globe,” but Young is confident that his “hard and dedicated work will show everyone” that he deserves to bear the name Young taken after his father Dre, whose real name is Andre Romelle Young.

Curtis Young, formally known as Hood Surgeon, is reshaping his image and musical style. He has made an impact on the West Coast by dropping mixtapes such as ‘Family Tree Vol. 1 and Vol. 2′, ‘Son of A Doctor’ and Billionaire Dreams.

“I am a new generation of Left Coast artists,” says Young adding that they “not only rap but produce as well.”

Curtis Young hopes that his company Young Entertainment Inc, will set new standards for Hip-Hop.

Young’s debut solo album, “Product of My DNA,’ is slated to possibly release this Summer, with no official release date as of yet.
