NBA Player Allen Iverson: Alcoholic and Gambling Addiction?! More Details

According to a number of NBA sources, Allen Iverson, who left the 76ers to deal with one of his daughter’s sickness, is a drunk and will end up gambling his whole life away.

Stephen A. Smith of the Philadelphia Inquirer reportedly reported on Monday that Allen Iverson “will either drink himself into oblivion or gamble his life away.”

Allen Iverson’s wife is reported to be filing for divorce over these issues and wants custody of their 5 children. Smith says that Iverson’s wife was his high school sweetheart and that he loves his kids, but he has some issues that he needs to take care of before it’s too late. As far as his future in the NBA, Smith says, “who cares,” Iverson should get his life back together.

Allen Iverson has made over $200 million in his career and may have gambled and drank most of it away. Iverson has been banned from casinos in Tunica, Ms., Atlantic City, NJ and Detroit probably from acting out of anger from being drunk and losing a lot of money.

Iverson has addressed recent reports stating that he’s use to people saying things about him that aren’t true and it still hurts. The NBA baller goes on to say via his Twitter that he encourages everyone’s ongoing support and wants them to trust that this is another obstacle in his life that he will overcome with the help of God.
