Evander Holyfield’s Wife Candi Says He ‘Punched’ and ‘Choked’ Her, Now Dr Phil

Candi Holyfield, wife of former boxing champ Evander Holyfield, 47, has asked a judge to drop the protective order she filed against him just two days before the two were scheduled to appear in court.

Last month, Evander Holyfield’s wife, Candi, obtained a protective order against the boxing champ for allegedly punching her in the head and back after she complained to him that their children were cold because the heat was turned off in their home.

Candi also claimed in the petition for the order that Evander, “choked” her in front of their daughter and housekeeper in 2008.

According to the Fayette County, GA. court, Candi put a halt on the protective order against her husband just two days before they were set to appear in front of a judge. Since doing so, the case has been closed.

Candi and Evander were scheduled to go head-to-head in the court room on Thursday Feb. 18th.

The former world champion boxer and his wife both are now reportedly set to appear on the Dr. Phil Show to solve their marriage woes.
