Taking home awards this year was not a surprise as they were actors, actress and cast members who played a role in some of the best movies of the year including Avatar, Blind Side, Julie and Julia, Sherlock Holmes, The Hangover, Precious and others.

Taking home Best Actress awards were, again, no surprise with Sandra Bullock taking home Golden Globes “Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama” for her role in “The Blind Side” and Meryl Streep taking home “Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Comedy” for her role in “Julie and Julia.”

Meanwhile, Golden Globes “Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture” award went to Mo’Nique for her role in the movie “Precious” which is based on the Novel Push by Sapphire.

Both movies “Avatar” and “The Hangover” took home Golden Globes “Best Motion Picture” awards at no surprise with James Cameron (Titanic) taking home Best Director for “Avatar.”

Other standout Golden Globes were Robert Downey, Jr., “Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Comedy” for his role in “Sherlock Holmes,” and Jeff Bridges, “Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama” for his role in “Crazy Heart.”

Best TV series comedy went to “Glee,” while TV drama went to “Mad Men.” Others were “Best Actor in a Television Series, Comedy” which went to Alec Baldwin for “30 Rock”; “Best Actress in a Television Series, Comedy” went to Toni Collette for “United States of Tara”; “Best Actor in a Television Series, Drama” went to Michael C.
