Rapper Rick Ross To Host Blood Drive For Haiti Earthquake Victims on MLK Day
Rapper Rick Ross will host a blood drive for Haiti victims on MLK Day in an effort to help those in medical need.
Rick Ross Charities, The Community Blood Centers and 24-Hour Fitness will come together on Martin Luther King Day to collect blood to send to victims of the massive 7.0 earthquake that flattened this capital city of Port-au-Prince in Haiti.
“We have to come together to assist Haiti in anyway possible,” Rick Ross told AllHipHop. “Give blood, donate what you can and remember the relief efforts for Haiti need to be long term,” he adds.
Rick Ross will be hosting the blood drive from 5:30pm – 10:30pm on Monday (Jan. 18th) at the Pines Blvd 24 Hour Fitness location in Pembroke Pines.
Ross has been reaching out to Haiti even before the earthquake that has killed at least 100,000 people expected. In December 2009, Ross performed during the Starfest Multi-Cultural Music Festival in front of 500,000 fans. During his time there, Ross visited several hospitals and reassured kids living in boys and girls homes.
